InfoAg International - Dublin 2019

InfoAg International - Dublin 2019

This year Sensoterra is attending InfoAg international conference in Dublin, Ireland.

InfoAg International conference is known for knowledge exchange and advancement of precision agriculture. The event attracts interest from domestic and international agriculture professionals and features a wide range of educational and networking opportunities for growers to learn about the latest techniques in the future of farming. After years of success in the U.S., This year InfoAg is taking place in Europe (Dublin, Ireland) - organized by IPNI (International Plant Nutrition Institute) - to create the premier event for precision agriculture, in March 25-27th.

Sensoterra will be attending this event, represented by Bas van der Velden - Sales Director at Sensoterra. Bas will be speaking about ROI examples from customers around the globe. When acquiring Sesnoterra probes, growers can get a return on investment within one crop cycle. As revealed in the Werner Farms case study.

Sensoterra’s sensors are specialized in remote soil moisture monitoring for agriculture, horticulture, Smart City solutions, and landscaping activities. A wireless, low-cost, easy-to-install sensor, designed for all types of crops and soils, structured to provide the best balance between water and soil. With achieving optimum soil moisture conditions, yield increase can be reached as well as water saving by 10-30%. Sensoterra is a contributor to the LoRa Alliance, with current sensors reaching 5,000 units sold globally.

“I’m excited to be speaking at the conference because to discuss the future of agriculture in the EU, with experts in digital farming, becomes essential to develop stronger bonds between agricultural sectors.” van der Velden, Sales Director, Sensoterra.

This year, the conference will approach the role of gateways for shaping the future of digital farming together with methods for getting the highest value from artificial intelligence in agriculture, such as irrigation and fertilizers optimization. The encounter of datanomics, agronomics, journalists, scientists creates a multidisciplinary and rich environment to attain the most effective solutions for all the involved sides.

“It is quite interesting to see how the increase of IoT technology has been building a greater network within the agricultural sector.” van der Velden, Sales Director, Sensoterra.
