Sensoterra for landscaping

Understand the soil’s hydro processes to lower landscaping irrigation costs and improve plant condition

Ensuring high quality levels on landscaping projects is important but currently difficult to maintain. A lack of insight into the hydro processes in the soil result in a limited understanding of the condition and growth of the plants and trees. Human inspections are labor intensive, irrigation often comes too late and the soil moisture sensors on the market are expensive and wired.

Monitoring soil moisture is the ideal way to control plant conditions. However, current sensors are wired and not remote, making them unusable for landscaping projects.

Sensoterra is the low-cost, wireless and remote solution for real-time insight into soil moisture condition and plant condition.

The revolutionary Sensoterra soil-moisture system is self-sustaining, wireless and remote.

Real-time soil monitoring

Maintaining ideal soil moisture conditions lowers the risk of failed crops and increases crop productivity.

Low cost

Probes retail at USD 110.

Higher crop yield

Maintaining ideal soil moisture conditions lowers the risk of failed crops and increases crop productivity.

Increased crop quality

Monitoring soil moisture at various root depths is the ideal way to optimise soil conditions specific to each crop.

Lower irrigation costs

Accurate and constant insight into soil moisture levels eliminates unnecessary irrigation.

Fully wireless and remote

The wireless sensors can be placed up to 1.5 km from the gateway system, allowing full field monitoring from iPad, smartphone or desktop.

The Sensoterra system consists of wireless plug and play probes, a gateway and the stand-alone cloud-system “SoilWare”. Soil moisture data is sent to the cloud through a solar-powered gateway allowing the user to access soil moisture data over any time period from any location, however remote.

The gateway can be extended with a camera enabling visual monitoring of the landscaping project. Fully automated notifications are received if the condition of the plant or tree dips below a certain level, eliminating expensive periodic labor inspections.

All data is securely stored in the cloud, allowing the user to compare soil moisture distribution per day, week or even year through PC, smartphone or tablet.
