InfoAg USA 2019

InfoAg USA 2019

Next week, Sensoterra will be at the InfoAg conference in St. Louis MO.

InfoAg Conference is known for knowledge exchange and advancement of precision agriculture. The event attracts interest from domestic and international agriculture professionals and features a wide range of educational and networking opportunities for growers to learn about the latest techniques in precision agriculture. This year the event will happen in July (23rd-25th) at Saint Louis (MO, USA).

Sensoterra will be attending InfoAg Conference and is excited to share its improvements in soil moisture sensing together with networking with the best professionals in the market. Bas van der Velden, Sensoterra’s Sales Director, will be there representing the company.

“Every year Sensoterra attends InfoAg Conference. I believe is one of the biggest scenes within precision agriculture events,” van der Velden.

Sensoterra’s sensors are specialized in remote soil moisture monitoring for agriculture, horticulture, Smart City solutions, and landscaping activities. A wireless, low-cost, easy-to-install sensor, designed for all types of crops and soils, structured to provide the best balance between water and soil. With achieving optimum soil moisture conditions, yield increase can be reached as well as water saving by 10-30%. Sensoterra is a contributor to the LoRa Alliance, with current sensors reaching 5,000 units sold globally.

Sensoterra sensors have been contributing to smarter irrigation decisions amongst growers everywhere:

“Sensoterra has been growing with the improvement of precision agriculture thanks to the IoT technology which creates a broader network, permitting us to technically connect with all types of markets.” Jurriaan Ruys, CEO, Sensoterra.

Precision agriculture advances have been implementing wireless sensors technologies and applications in agriculture and food industry. Ruled by the Internet of Things (IoT), the formation of a general network interconnects devices capabilities to interconnect with other domains and its physical surroundings. A broader distribution of sensors with IoT devices creates a wireless network which allows the deployment of remote sensing with infrastructure at a much finer granularity than has been available before.

“InfoAg is always a productive event to establish new partnerships for Sensoterra” Ruys says, “and these partnerships go from small independent farmers to big agricultural companies.”
