About the soil moisture sensor
In short: a soil moisture sensor tells you what's actually happening below the surface, so you're not guessing from the topsoil or a fixed watering schedule. On its own, though, a raw reading doesn't tell you much, every Sensoterra soil moisture sensor takes an hourly in-ground measurement, and in the cloud that reading is calibrated by AI against your chosen soil type, so what lands in the app is an answer you can act on, not a figure you still have to interpret yourself.
